How It Works

Here at flexcoin | the bitcoin bank, we expand upon a rather simple concept – a centralized bitcoin holding location.

When you open the bitcoin client on your PC, you are given a receiving address.  The problem lies in that when you receive a bitcoin at that address, it is only accessible via that PC.  If you’ve got five different machines in your household, it’s possible you’ve got bitcoins in five different locations – not to mention there’s not currently a way to access bitcoins from a mobile device.

flexcoin solves this problem by giving you a standard web interface and a single centralized location to store all of your bitcoins.  You log into your account, and send/receive bitcoins directly from the web.  The other party doesn’t even need to be a flexcoin user (although we’re pretty sure once word gets out on how awesome our service is, they’ll want to be one).

In addition, it’s accessible from a mobile device.  Now, your smart phone can send and receive bitcoins just as if it were one of your home PCs.

In addition, we haven’t even mentioned the best part – if you’ve got a positive bitcoin balance in your account, you’ll receive a monthly discount against any fees incurred (or any potential future fees). The amount of your discount will be based on the balance you have with flexcoin, as well as a few other factors (the exact formula is outlined elsewhere on this website).
